Yes I would imagine that was the case in generations when a dog was a working animal, generally for protection and hunting. You wouldn't wish to kill what could be your only loyal companion and your most common means of security. There's an argument to be had about the cultural shift and when it took place but this pushes us away from why dogs are not considered to be food.
Absolutely agree- add that dogs are unbelievably cute animals, funny and entertaining

On the topic of eating dog. Yes, I agree that because we've adopted dogs culturally we will never eat them - but this cultural shift hasn't happened in the East, I think my friend was more curious than anything. It's not something I'd do myself, but each to their own.

I understand the reasons it isn't generaly seen as culturaly acceptable to eat dogs, I'm simply saying that it isn't really logical. There isn't really any good reason for it imo.

Not that I have ever tried it or have really ever wanted to.
There is a good reason for it, aside from the cultural issue. Have you thought about the practicalities of farming cats and dogs? Cows, sheep, chicken etc are generally docile, herbivorous animals that are pretty easy to keep fenced and fed. Farming dogs and cats would involve much more extensive fencing, and they have to be fed on meat, which raises many more practical issues than grass. I highly doubt that it would be cost effective to farm cats and dogs for meat.

I'd remove that if I were you, don't want an alert for telling someone where to watch a programme that is not the legal place to watch online

Is it actually illegal to watch it there? I'm not sure. I'll remove it to be on the safe side

Oops, I don't think that came across as I intended. I mean do you have to change your font colour from the standard black to dark orchid everytime you post, or does it save it?

There is little point. It makes the site more colourful though, which I like
