Anyone here been to, or currently studying at the University of Leicester?
Yes, I have. It's quite an interesting place. Partly leafy, partly as you might expect from the midlands.

Agreeing with Adorno, and it's a nice place. I've seen most of the sciency bits and they're nice enough.

Protip with Leicester as a city: you will be walking. A lot.

Ugh. I've had some fun times in Leicester, once a few mates of mine who go there, some othera and myself sat in one of the parks and busked for like three hours. You've not heard Muse until you've heard it on a swanny whistle.

I must confess I've only been for a few university-related things and I wasn't so keen on the place. But to get there I have to travel through Birmingham New Street which is probably why.

I have very little money I'm afraid. That said, my current plan is to run away!

Just watched Lee Evans on Comedy Central....not as funny as Michael McIntyre though he always sweats so much though; you can see huge sweat patches on his suit jacket! He also has a massive bath towel to wipe his face!

He's finished now with some dancing and singing act....quite boring to be honest

What did you make of it? I've read their prospectus and the TSR Wiki article and I'm planning to go to the open day in September.

No way Evans is a bit too insane for me, plus he sweats too much. I love McIntyre

Well, it's got a good history department and that's really all I know about, I'm afraid. That said any university that has to sell itself as "elite without being elitist" is stretching my patience a bit thin but I'm sure it's lovely if you like a quasi-campus university in a Midlands city. Good curry I suppose.

I wouldn't know, I've never been to Liverpool.

God I love Damn you Autocorrect!

    Spoiler:
    Show

Doesn't autocorrect use the most common words? That means she's used vag more often than bag :holmes:

I'm not sure about that. I think it looks at the letters you are writing and predicts the word you are trying to write. Frustrating at times.

But the prediction it makes is based on your most frequently used words. Like, if I typed, 'chur' then it could predict 'churl' or 'churn', and would pick the one that I had used most often in the past.

Really? I thought the predictions came from the inbuilt dictionary.
