All the banks have refused her a mortgage but she really wants to move out. Would she be able to get a mortgage of, say, £150,000 on Wonga?

Wonga can be used to borrow small amounts of short-term finance. So in short, no.

£150,000 borrowed over 25 years @ 4214% gives you monthly repayments of £52,000. Very reasonable. Nice troll btw.

And getting a mortgage at 4000% interest per year seemed like an option?

Wow, £150,000 of Wonga at 4000% APR, I wouldn't borrow £10 if I was desperate from them in all fairness.
