Hi. I'm a Portuguese student, currently on the 11º year, equivalent to your 12 year and i'm thinking about applying to college in England, for the 2012 entry.
My main doubt is about the grades since our school system is different from your's. Aniway I read, on the British Council, that our 12 year is equivalent to your a-levels, and that A's go from 18-20 B's 15-17 but I've seen that some colleges ask for A*? So it would be great if you could tell me something about the conversion of grades and if I have any chances of going into a good univesity?
My grades are at the moment 18/20 at Chemistry and Phisychs, here these subjects are taught in the same class, 18/20 at Biology and Geology same class, 18 at Maths although i'll only have an exam the next year, 18 at english, 19 at philosopy, 17 at portuguese and at pyshical education (sports) 15.
    Thank You
