Being single is the best thing because you can do whatever you want without having a guilty conscience![I]
most of the time i love being single but its when you go out and everyone is paired off in couples it can be really really uncomfortable (speaking from experience)

I'm not very good at caring about other people (narcissistic personality disorder)

i'm single a lot

you get used to it, no responsibility
I much prefer having a bf, I can't explain it, its just nicer...

I don't know why people get so worked up about being single; it's not like it really matters anyway

Being single has its advantages and so does having a boyfriend. I don't mind it either way. Sometimes I just want to be single, but when I actually am single, I want a boyfriend. The grass is always greener

so, what do we think about being single? I personally don't like being single- but on the other hand, having a girlfriend is such an effort, lol. it means you have to get out of bed each day!! (not that I don't already  !!). anyway, i just think being single over the xmas period aint too much fun :frown: .

doesnt worry me too much. guess i'd prefer to have a girlfriend but if i dont its not a big deal to me and it has advantages (more money for me! )

Highs and lows with singledom, sometimes especially winter actually you just want someone to hang out and chat with, and when you can rely on someone to go out/do something with you which with mates is hit and miss. But then when i look at my friends with their boyf/girlf's and the amount of insular time they spend together I'm glad I'm single. Some of the couples I know are together 24/7 and I don't think I could handle that, I like my own time and space.

Two of my housemates are a couple and they are in 24/7, early nights, when they do go out they are in by 11.30/midnight and are generally a bit boring lol. Very general view but they live in their own world! and then i look at my friends (even mine) past relationships and I see how people devote so much time to their other half that they hardly see their friends, I had friends who would go off the radar when they had a boyf/girlf and would reappear when they broke up and act like nothings happened.

*I'm not all negative, I owuld love to be in a relationship right now, perhaps I'm looking for excuses to stay (or accept being) single lol!

I do miss being in love, but I don't think I've consciously realised how much more freedom being single has given me. I wouldn't say no if the right girl came along, but I have so much going on in my life that it's just a lot easier without that hassles that women bring!
