So it's going to get me high?

Are the effects similar to cannabis?

It wasn't a "high" feeling exactly, it was a every problem has disappeared and life is good feeling. I guess the best way of explaining it is to me high implies that things have been added to your experience - energy, happiness, whatever - whereas for me this just took away bad stuff - fear, anxiety - which the consequence was contentness. I can see why it's highly addictive in any case.

I read it can make you drowsy but I didn't experience that at all, I don't think it makes you as drowsy as other drugs you may have taken for depression. Give it a shot and if you don't like it then don't take it again.

    No problem, glad to help.

5mg isn't the lowest dose. 2mg is. Which barely does anything.

I take 4mg occasionally for certain things. The anxiety is still there but it's much, much less. I don't feel as if I'm going to burst into tears or have a panic attack or run away (literally, lol) like I would have before.

Don't expect it to make you high. Valium doesn't do that. Might make you drowsy, if anything. I felt a bit 'weird' for 5 mins or so the first time I took 4mg.

Are you taking it for a certain occasions or just general anxiety?

If it's for a certain thing (such as the dentist or a presentation), I would recommend splitting in half and staggering it. i.e - If you need it for 2pm. Take 1 half at 12, and the other at 1pm... Seems to work better for me if I do that.

You just care a lot less and (depending on dosage) feel pretty sleepy.Taking high doses for a while does result in resistance though, now I need 4 or 5 for any effect.

Im taking it for general anxiety, they've only given me 6, probably because it's higly addictive I suspect...

    Thanks for your input!

Would it be better to take it now, or just before I sleep?

I have that anxious, pit of your stomach feeling,,, Not nice..

Honestly, if I were you - I would keep them for when you really need them. I'm surprised they gave you them for general anxiety, tbh. My doc gives me a lecture every single time I ask for them. He only gives me 6 at a time too!

You could take 2.5mg a few hours before you go to bed see what it's like and how it works for you? It might be the perfect dose for you. Plus that way you'll have 12 tablets, not 6.

    Good luck! Anxiety is horrible.

It didn't make me feel happier - just less anxious, which is good.
