    GUYS! DO not lose heart.

According to the published document from OCR I saw that in June 2010, you only need to get 64/100 to get an A. In Jan 2011 you need 73/100 to get an A. So do not worry. If a lot people find this paper difficult then it is likely that grade boundaries will be low.

Thanks for the confidence, I'm still working it out though.

How many UMS would that exam be, 120?
And the A-level coursework is 90 UMS? I think.

Overall, I think not a bad paper; a large amount of synoptic stuff. I don't know what the answer was for the 4 mark question at the end about the NaH2PO4. I sort of rushed it in the hope of scraping a mark...

I put 19.2g for the mass.
Generally, a pretty tough paper I thought. It wasn't that there were 'new' things in there, it was just looking at the theory from a different angle I think.
There was however still a few questions that were almost 'word for word' the same as in previous papers, so there were definitely a lot of easily attainable marks.
All we can do now is hope!

    I got 19g.
was Ka divided by 10^-7 and then 0.1/that answer.
That give you the concentration that was = to the moles since the volume was 1.
X that by 120 and you get 19g.

I thought it was quite easy but not nessisarily a nice paper. Was shocked at the ammount of synoptic stuff and there was tonnes of marks to be dropped on the longer answers. I reckon boundies similar to jan, if not a bit higher.

Ran badly out of time, had to rush questions, so I just talked crap.

Urgh, salt diagram I got wrong, why can't CH2BrCH2Br dissolve in Water wrong...

For one of the pH question where you had to make a buffer of pH7 I worked out what the H+ ion concentration should be for ph 7, is that right?
