Well had a pleasant surprise yesterday...got recommended to a site a few days ago to advertise my car for 4 quid and thought it was going to be a waste of time but having paid 28.00 a fortnight ago with autotrader (and got 1 call and they didnt turn up!)...i decided to take the risk.. and yesterday i sold the little beauty.. fair enough i got haggled down but at least it gone.. So i will pass on the tip. If you want to flog a car then try Motorzone UK, it 3.99 for 4 weeks.. i think its great but then it worked for me. easy to do as well. finally if anyone is selling a mini coope in red then let me know.. cheers.

Autotrader is a waste of time and this is coming from a trader!

I don't know, I sold my first car within a day of putting it up on autotrader. There was plenty of interest. Surprising considering it was an old purple micra!

    Thanks for the tip though.

I probably wouldn't have used autotrader if the car was worth more than £1000 (as their fees get ridiculous at that point, if my memory serves me right).

I didn't bother putting my car on autotrader, no point

I sold mine on Piston Heads, it's free.

Piston Heads, Gumtree, Car & Classic - you can put a basic listing on any of them for free. Whether you get a better sale price/more interest on Autotrader I don't know.

Never done this before, normally trade the car in when I get a new one or it's a company car that gets returned.
