Graphics GCSE controlled assessment

Who has done it. I am starting it next month and wanted to know how hard it was. Has anyone got an A* or A in it as that is what im aiming for. I have to choose from one of the 12 topics and I think I want to do the easiest one which is probably pop up books but the funnest one looks like making a board game that is based on the race and chase thing. I think that would be cool. Please can someone give detailed comments on what it is like, how hard, advice on how to get A* as my teacher is stupid and doesnt know how to teach so am pretty much alone in learning stuff. Oh and what is the exam like. What kind of questions are there as we havent started revising or learning anything yet and wanted to know the sylabus. THX
