First few that come to mind are:

    Avenged Sevenfold - Nightmare

Hollywood Undead - Everywhere I Go

The Mountain Goats - This Year

The Clash - Straight To Hell

The Cure - Close To Me

I know **** all about music so I'm not saying there particularly amazing or well constructed, I just like the sound.

Anyone agree with me that Baba O'Riley is a bit.....boring? If you're going for a long intro, being purely repetitive does not an epic intro make

I'd go for something by Yes

Pink Frost by The Chills. It's beautiful. 'This Charming Man' and 'Boys Don't Cry' are have amazing intros though.

Some people think little girls should be seen an' not heard, but oii fink...OH BONDAGE, UP YOURS! ONE TWO FREE FOUR!

As far as the music itself goes, Vienna and Fade to Grey both give me chills.

I also like the start of Instant Hit, just the simple scratching and Ari's rather clipped 'He-is-a-boy- he's very-thin' etc. (Album version starts at :38)

Oh oh Digital is pure evil as well (Yes I'll stop now)

Before we begin I should emphasise that I cannot stand Muse whatsoever. But somehow, and I don't think Matt Bellamy is even sure how they pulled it off, they managed to compose 40 seconds of half decent music.

I will give credit where credit is due, such a fantastic intro, really gets you pumped up. Of course only to be let down completely by the rest of the song. And the Muse discography for that matter.
