Er, my dad buys holiday homes. Sack the locals, they are dead poor. Rich Russian, Germans and British rent them out for two weeks at a time or so.
who hell is gonna find a country in deep recession a nice place to go on holiday?

especially high quality housing?...ppl are more likely to save for better times if they can given the high interest rate, keep to the low rents or even migrate to the western parts of the EU...have you even considered the consequences of mass economic migration when acession countries will be entitled to free movement?
Holy ****. Calm down. Its a short term, quick buck maker thats all. Its not a long term investment.

Your so negative.

One of my dads uncles who is 80 in two weeks.

His son bought a new car. HE took it to show him and instead of being happy for him guess what he said. ''Ah, you wont get the lower taxation due to the engine size''. Nothing more, nothing less. Just plane negative.

That is different....I wouldn't personally find speculating on the property market any fun

Here on some Bernie Taupin lyrics, enjoy:

Six o'clock alarm
I get the wake up call
Let that sucker jingle-jangle
Ring right off the wall
I'm too low for zero
I'm too tired to work
Tied one on with a friend last night
And wound up losing my shirt

I'm too low for zero
I'm on a losing streak
I got myself in a bad patch lately
I can't seem to get much sleep
I'm too low for zero
I wind up counting sheep
Nothing seems to make much sense
It's all just Greek to me

You know I'm too low, too low, too low for zero
You know I'm too low, too low, too low for zero

Cutting out cups of coffee
Switching off the late night news
Putting the cat out two hours early
It isn't any use
I'm too low for zero
Insomnia attacks
Watching flies with my eyes till sunrise
It's daylight when I hit the sack
