ok erm
dont get too pissed get drunk enough to have a good time but make sure you know what you're doing.
Watch out for the 2nd and 3rd yrs who have their annual f*ck a fresher competitions.
you will queue a lot
think that the friends that you make on the first day will be your mates forever, they rarely are after the first week
You'll get lost a lot
Dont embarrass yourself in front of your tutors too much it proves awkward later. And most of all join loads of random societies and have great fun!

i remember my freshman week of high school. things get thrown at you by the seniors, the juniors tell you to go back to junior high, and the sophmores try to pretend there just as cool as the juniors and seniors. it was great for bonding with other freshmen!
Univerisity freshers week is kinda different.

Ok Uni people. What's it like? What kind of things do you do? Did it help YOU get to know people?
I have a friend who absolutely hated fresher's week, n sed that his friends at uni with him hated it as well! He didn't really wanna go out that much as he didn't know anyone there, n really missed his old mates! He has warned me that i'll hate it n wanna go home - he did! However don't be put off by this, i know some people that loved it, it others that didn't really have one!

I think that's quite a rare case. Fresher's Week is over-hyped though.

that's cool - i'm glad you enjoy yourselves - it's just my m8s hate going out when evryone else is pissed. I hope they're gonna be ok. I don't want them to be isolated coz they're ace and I'm afraid they'll be left on their own.

The actually thread question should be:
How many times did you get laid on freshers week?
Honest answers will be appreciated..

Maybe so, but there were abt 6 of them, now friends (as in the same halls) that felt like that!

not really coz i don't care how many times people got laid. It is irrelevant.

i didnt get laid on freshers none of my friends did. We just had a few drinks and had fun. I met my eventual boyf on freshers so it is a good opportunity to socialise.
Dont go OTT I know one girl who had to go to hospital for taking mushrooms and having a bad reaction and another girl who had to have her stomach pumped too much alcohol.
Also the staff are extra vigilant in the first couple of weeks for signs of smoking weed etc. If you get caught you can get kicked out of uni. be careful and have a good time in moderation is my advice.
