when you're in love or you simply love someone i think you do know what love is. it's pretty complex...and pretty simple at the same time...

it's a very overwhelming feeling, and sometimes i think i love too much...but as long as you have a lot of it...it's a nice world

interesting slant on ydays love thread. i dont think we do. but love isnt a seperate emotion or anything. its just amplified attraction. so there.

Awww, aliel - you added me to your sig Thanks!

PS Love is a chemical reaction in your brain. Doesn't make it any less overwhelming and wonderful though

I suppose there are chemical elements involved in the physical attraction between two people (pheremones and hormones). But scientists find it hard to find a physiological basis for any emotion, especially love.
That's not to say that the basis couldn't be out there, but we're not close to finding out what it is yet. It is more a philisophical question at the moment, until we can discover otherwise. For people who have ever been in love, I'd have to say there's something more to it than simple chemistry.

I dunno, it's amazing what the brain can actually do....

Yep i don't think one can really reduce love to simple chemical processes, as this would loose its qualitative essence.
