Two interviews on the same day

I have two interviews for Medicine, from different universities, on the same date and at the exact same time. This seems like a bizarre coincidence, but what do I do? Do I tell one university that I would like a different date because I have an interview at a different university that date, or do I lie and tell them I have some other obligation? The second university to contact me did so at really quite late notice, by the way.

On the interview letter, isn't there an option saying something like "if you can't attend, tick this box and we will offer you an alternative date"? If not then just ring one and say you can't make that date, i wouldn't have thought they'd make you give a reason.

You don't even have to tell them you have an interview at another university; you could say you have an unavoidable obligation on that day - you aren't lying by saying that.

Thanks guys, I've sent an email saying that I cannot make it to the interview but would it be possible to change the date. =)

tell one uni that you got an interview from another uni and ask if they can please postpone your interview to another day.most unis would.

I had two Uni's offering me interviews on the same day. I sent back a reply to my least favourite of the two telling them I couldn't make it. That way if they didn't get back to me, I wouldn't really be that bothered.

Anyways, turns out I couldn't go to either, as I broke my finger and as my interviews are for PE teaching, I couldn't do all the gymnastics and dance tests!!

I'm in exactly the same situation with interviews at KCL and Nottingham on the same day. I've replied to Nottingham saying that I can't make it and would like an alternative date because then I can use the KCL interview as practice!
