I didn't have to send in essays, but if you did I'd suggest reading over those.
I re-read A Doll's House which I mentioned in my PS, and did a bit of research on modernism which I also mentioned (but not much...) As for the test, I did a bit of practice with my English teacher but don't hold much hope!
That's about it though; I don't really want to over-prepare as they'll smell it a mile off.
Good luck!
I'm just reading bits of useful things...trying to go over the texts I mentioned in my PS, obviously my essays I sent in and generally looking over some words for the test. Should be preparing more but I'm hoping it'll be more about how you think not a test of what you know!

Does anyone have any idea what the written test involves?

Good Luck
Apparently the written exam is 3 extracts of poetry, you have to choose 2 and compare them. To prepare i've re-read some of my notes on analysing poetry so I can use more 'technical' language and i've looked over some old poetry essays that I've done well on.

Also been looking at texts that i've mentioned on my PS, being googling and having a quick read about the authors. Re-read my extended assignment thingy cos they'll no doubt ask about that (don't know if A level students do this as I was on an access course).

Oh and just been thinking a little in my head about what they may ask. Oh ok a lot.Obsessing in fact. It's tomorrow, agh!

I like poetry and basically analyse it for fun, so I've not done much on that...

I learned some random words: anthropomorphism, canonical, meta-fiction etc... mostly because I like them even though they're unlikely to come up in the text.

Will read up on F.R. Leavis on the train, print out my essays and ps and re-read those on the train, as well as some poetry to re-read on the train. And just basically thinking about what they might ask... I'm anticipating being asked about tragedy because I put it in my ps and the interviewer specialises in it, and possibly something on religion in literature as that's also on my ps/an interviewer likes it.

Edit: a friend of mine has a whole notebook full of revision stuff, but I figure that you can't predict too accurately what they'll ask so there's little point.
