I have offers to do a Postgraduate Degree at both the University of Bristol and the University of Edinburgh. However, I can't decide which one to go to. Both unis scored the same Research marks (5*) in the subject I'm going to pursue, but I can't decide which one to go to. Does anybody have any advice / information on either uni?

Thanks,

Wini.

Personally i'd go to Edinburgh, it's a beautiful and vibrant city and is a great university. Never been too keen on Bristol, but that's just me. Goodluck in your decision!

I think overall Bristol probably has a slightly better general reputation, but both are great so it really wouldn;t make very much difference which you chose. If you're going to do a taught course have you checked its content at both places??? There might be one you prefer.

I agree Edinburgh is a beautiful city, I'd definately pick Edinburgh over Bristol.

I'd go with Edinburgh definitely!

Plus, if you ever want to work overseas, I would say that it is better known than Bristol.

Ok. thanks. Does anybody know which Uni out of the two, employers like best? Would most employers turn down a Bristol graduate for an Edinburgh graduate or vice versa?

the bias would be marginal and it really would depend on specific employers, edinburgh is a much nicer uni imo
