VM39 - Royal Wedding Motion, TSR Conservative PartyThat this House offers it's most heart-felt congratulations and best wishes to His Royal Highness Prince William of Wales and Miss Catherine Middleton, and wishes them a very happy, long and successful marriage together, and the best of luck for their futures together. In addition, that this House recognises the importance of the United Kingdom's constitutional monarchy and its heritage, and looks forward to celebrating a long future under it.

Aye, the coming together of the nation today, the national spirit and all the images on the TV are reason enough to celebrate the monarchy, and their place in 21st Century Britain. Congratulations to the happy couple as well.

Shouldn't really have been submitted in this form since it's emotively making us all say we like the monarchy.

I wish them well, but I am still sceptical about the monarchy, so abstain.

Ditto. I bear them no ill will, but I'm not a monarchist, really.

I've been requested by Singh993 to change his vote from Aye to No. The tallies have been adjusted accordingly.

May I commend the Conservatives on a nicely disingenuous motion.
