So I texted my friend that royal wedding joke that goes:

Kate asks the queen what's the secret to a happy marriage and the queen says, wear a seatbelt and don't piss me off...

She replied saying that was in poor taste

I know it's a bit naughty, but I didn't think it was thaaat bad I mean it was only light hearted. Or am I really just being inappropriate?

I have seen inappropriate jokes, this isn't one of them.

You should text back saying 'Too soon?'

It's not funny, but jokes are rarely "appropriate", that's the point of them.

It is bad taste, but I find it funny. It's just one of those jokes where you need to know your audience when telling it.

Maybe you should reply with:

So Will and Kate drove off in his dads Aston Martin. Wonder why he didn't use his mother's car?

Oh as if this is poor taste. God will you all get over yourselves. And it is fairly funny, although admittedly this effect is amplified by all the "that's poor taste" comments that make it just so much better.
