Hey, i thought i would dig this old thread up, since it may come in useful for some 2006 first year students.

I just got my accomodation letter, and its confirmed that i will be in Furness. Great stuff, but it said i would be in the tower, could anybody post a picture of a Furness tower room please? Or maybe describe how it is

    Thanks

You're lucky. Some of the rooms in the tower are huge!

I had a few friends who lived there. The rooms aren't groggy, but the kitchen is very small. The bathroom is fine.

People who live in the Tower usually love it. In fact I think the Tower is being shared with Grizedale this year, but don't quote me on that.

Heya, on your letter it should have said...

    Dear ....

I am very pleased to confirm that you have been allocated Room .... County Main in County College for the academic year 2006/2007, and I look forward to welcoming you to Lancaster in October.

    What does yours say?

I've heard of it as a place, but not as anything to do with the Uni

Bowland main. Rooms are a bit smaller and it's not en-suite. And there's more to a kitchen. Plus it's cheaper

Actually the only reason I moved was cos I made 9 really good friends in the Halls last year, and since there's 10 to a kitchen in Main it made sense just to all go there together.
