Hi

Just interested ........ how did you meet your current / previous partners? ....... what were the events leading upto it, did you already know each other?

I'm completely clueless when it comes to this. I don't know how its supposed to happen.

The only time i approach is when someone gives me a clear signal. Other than that, i just figure it would be completely weird to walk upto a stranger ........ and since i hardly ever get any signals, i rarely approach, hence the reason i'm single 99% of the time.

As for dating people you already know? ........ isn't this weird, doesnt' it ruin any friendship you had if you ask a woman who's a friend and she says no?

Then of course there is being introduced by friends ....... how often does this happen for people? ......... not once has a friend introduced me to anyone. Its been mentioned a few times, but it never happens.

Online dating? ......... doesn't work for me either, women simply don't message me / reply to me.

Really, i'm completely clueless, i'm not the worst or least intelligent guy in the world ........ but then i see guys who most people would consider complete morons with nothing going for them getting plenty of attention from pretty girls ......... how the hell do they do it ??

Thanks

Well i met my current bf through a mutual friend, and then through them we became friends before taking it further. I found that this is a good way because me and my bf are so close. This doesnt work for everyone though

I met my boyfriend through friends. It was one of those my-best-friend-and-his-best-friend got it ooonnnnn and instantly thought they'd try to get us together.

Didn't quite work, seeing as we both liked different people at our respective schools.

Then we started to speak on MSN (back in the day...) and I wanted him to like to me so i could reject him and feel good about myself (teenage angst mixed with the rejection of the guy i liked mixed with awful hair). And then we ended up together. We only meet the once, got together that night, and had our first date a few days later.

It wasn't exactly romantic, but it was perfectly suitable for two 15/16 YO to get together. And it'll be 4 years for us this time next month, so we must be able to stand each other a little.

Guys are just guys. They act like ***** because the know girls will go after then before going lesbian. i used to watch some of the guys at my school thinking 'youre parents have to be brother and sister...' but they had a lotta girls after them.

Majority of them are gay and together now though...

I met my ex at a party. He was drunk, and came up to me and said 'you have amazing tits' then went and sat by himself in a corner and sang the bad touch.
And so the romance began...

Mine was deff a case of when you least expect it...

Went out for dinner with a couple of old friends...and they were going on to a friends party afterwards in a pub and asked me if i wanted to go with and i was like "er, nothing better to do" so went. he was there...we chatted and a bit but when he asked for my number i burst into hysterics.

Anyway we ended up running into eachother the following day and spoke a bit...he added me to fb and invited me to his party the following week. I went thinking i may meet someone else so what the harm, a couple of my acquantinces were going....

at the party became friendly with one of his friends and in turn him....a month after we met he asked me out again and this time i said yes:-D

I'm President of LGBT Soc at my uni, my ex came to one of the first socials (I didn't actually remember him at all).

Then he messaged me online like a month and half later, completely out of the blue, just saying hi and asking how I was. We talked for a bit online then came along to another social we did, after that we talked a bit more online then I arranged for us to meet up as a minidate and we went on a proper date the next day after that.

1st girlfriend I was sat next to in biology at college.
2nd girlfriend I was partnered with for a presentation at uni, we had been to the library and she had taken out books for the presentation and an essay, I helped her with them back to hers, we slept together, we got into a relationship from there. What a story that would have been to tell the Grandchildren!

Now I'm stuck trying to find a decent girl on a night out, which so far hasn't gone well. I either meet girls who are only out having a good time with their friends, or girls who will shag anything with a pulse. So, back to uni in September, hopefully find someone there

When drunk at a party, which I'd gone to for the sole reason of trying to seduce what turned out to be his housemate. Luckily, I didn't get anywhere near the housemate and ended up having a lovely time with this sweet, shy boy who tried to teach me (unsuccessfully) how to play poker.

Ok, this is long but hopefully worth reading!

The first day I moved into halls at uni there was a fire alarm. Up until it went off I had just been in my room unpacking my stuff and I was in a studio flat so had no flatmates to introduce myself to or anything so I hadn't talked to anyone yet.
When I went outside I was standing alone and pretty much everyone else was standing in small groups with their flatmates. I then saw a korean guy I had found online who was in the studio flat next door to mine, and he was standing with 3 or 4 other people. I'm usually quite a shy and unconfident person so it took me a few minutes to work up the courage to go up to him and introduce myself as his neighbour. From that, I got talking to the other guys standing with him, and ended up socialising with them for the rest of the night, and the next two nights.
On the third night, we were predrinking in a kitchen with a group from the same halls, and two of the guys were gonna go into town so I opted to join them. I wouldn't have done this if I wasn't drunk, because they aren't really the type of guys I would usually hang out with.
When we got into town we started to queue to get into a club. It was a long queue and I needed to visit the ladies room, so I told them I was going to go use the loo in a smaller club that had no queue a couple of doors down. When I came back, they were gone, so I texted (or thought I texted) one of the guys, John, except I had actually got names mixed up and it wasn't John I had come out with, it was Jack. John texted back saying he had decided to call it a night, so I assumed they had left (even though we had just got there ) or just abandoned me.
I would have just gone back to halls by myself then, but the city centre isn't walking distance of the student village, so I would have had to get a taxi back. I didn't want to pay the whole fare myself and didn't really want to go home yet either so I went back to the club I used the toilet in and started going up to groups and asking if they were from my uni in the hope that I could join a group and get a taxi back with them at the end of the night. I had no luck, and was starting to feel a bit stressed at the situation, so, being a smoker who had come to uni with a resolve to quit, I went outside the door where people were smoking and, without even looking first at who I was approaching, asked the nearest person if I could buy a cigarette off them.
It turned out to be my now boyfriend of 7 months, and his polish flatmate. They both go to the other university in the same city. The flatmate said they'd give me a cigarette, I just had to talk to them. So I started a conversation and I ended up going back into the club with them for a few hours. After, they invited me back to their flat which is less than 5 mins from the club, I went and ended up sitting up with my boyfriend in the kitchen till about 5am talking about anything and everything. I ended up staying the night and we've seen each other almost every day ever since. I'm pretty much living at his flat now and we're moving in a house together in the next couple of months.
It really does feel like destiny brought us together, that we were meant to be together and all that. If that fire alarm hadn't gone off on the first day, or I hadn't worked up the courage to introduce myself to my neighbour when it did, we would never have met.
