Hi,

Something called 'Win 7 Security 2011' tried to access my computer. I said no, ignored any pop ups and my anti-virus removed the trojan immediately. I then restored my computer to an earlier non-infected point. Is there any chance the virus might still be on my computer? It was never ever downloaded, just trying to.

Thanks.

There's the possibility, however this kind of malware (called scareware, which basically means it scares you into buying something) makes itself very noticable and disables any security software you already had, often changes your wallpaper and homepage to whatever they want and will popup at every opportunity saying "a virus - rundll.exe (a perfectly safe system file) was detected and blocked. Please cough up £50 and we won't remove it, but say we did and download dozens more viruses for the lols"
