Hi there

The Italian restaurant around the corner from me has a sign in the window asking for experienced waiters/waitresses, and I am thinking of applying. I havn't got restaurant experience but I have worked in a social club before.

I was thinking though that I should still go in and speak to the manager anyway - its worth a shot really?

I was just wondering though if anyone has any tips? I am going to shower and freshen up first etc, and ask for the manager etc (rather than just hand a cv over and walk out) but is there anything I should or should not say?

Thanks!

Also, should I explain to them at the time or wait for interview etc, that I will be wanting to work part time up until June (when I finish college) and then after that (until september) I will be available at any time?
