I need a new laptop, this Samsung R510 is on its last legs...

I need a good laptop with a good balance of RAM, memory (at least 200) etc. I also want a laptop from a brand that is trustworthy, Samsung have a free 1 year warranty and they replaced my hard-drive when that smashed for free etc...

I'd get a Samsung R580 (off eBay perhaps)...I saw one go for a total of £375 the other week. You presumably know how good Samsungs are, and that this model is one of the best rated in its class?

It definitely looks the best, too pricey though ;/ and I'm not sure if I'd buy a refurbished model off of eBay. Thanks though

Don't know if you've seen it but there's a Staples advert, advertising a Fujitsu Seimens laptop: 3GB RAM, 250GB HDD, HDMI connectivity for £349.99 with a year's free internet security. Check it out on their website, but it certainly seemed a good deal to me.

Actually, it's selling for £450 in Argos, but it's currently out of stock. I'd say it's worth the extra £50/ the wait?

Decent? £400? You're kidding me

You'd be lucky to get one of these bad boys in mint condish for that price

Up it to 500, you'd be able to get an Acer/HP with a more than decent processor and a reasonably large hard disk

Here are my reccomendations

P.S, dont be tempted to buy refurbs, they utterly turd!

I'd say so, it scores at the very top (or close to it) on just about every review site!
