According to AJE http://english.aljazeera.net/news/am...132275789.html, the US have his body already, so it's likely that he's indeed recently dead.
Won't make any difference to the conflict though, aside from the US PR boost.
can already see Obamas 2012 election campaign "who found bin laden? yeh thats right, vote for me"

We should all celebrate even though gaddafi is still alive lol
I dont get why people are hating on Gadaffi seriously and especially after his son got killed by UN. I support Gadaffis forces because the UN only care about protecting the oil probably influenced by influence of American jews on US Government. Im not sure if Syria has oil or not but I heard it doesnt have the same quantities as Libya and no-one is stopping the killings there which shows people only care for oil nations.

Anyway great news about his death but if hes been killed recently im suspicious of Pakistani peoples morals because hes probs been to Islamabad many times and no-one has given him away.

The best outcome would have been a trial and life in solitary confinement.
Definitely don't agree there. With Osama under lock and key his location would eventually come out and then you'd create the worlds largest target for the radical muslim nutter brigade. Dead (officially) and you make him a martyr. Lose-lose situation.

The best option would have been to quietly extract him from his hideout, stick two rounds in the back of his head and then get rid of the body - then claim that you still dont know whether he's dead or alive.

What the....?!?! If you really think about it, the number of people who wanted him gone FAR OUTWEIGHS anybody who supported him. Besides, with him gone, his power rangers don't really have a leader.
im totally for his death, for once i dont feel anything wrong with hoping someone really truly suffered in their death
i just dont like the idea of more innocentes dieing in his name
i want his legacy to be the truth, he hit then ran like the little coward he is

Naw, I wish. Too bad killing evil doesn't get rid of all pesky evil things in the world.

I've even read he's been dead for a week or so and that they have just been waiting on DNA results.

Dunno if that makes a difference.. and whether its true or would even need to be a lie or whatever, just thought i;d provide that input
DNA results wouldn't take a week, would they?

Pakistan needs to be asked questions about this. It's been a state-sponsor of international terrorism (as part of their colonial exploits) for decades, and we've been unwilling to pressure them over it. So much for them being our ally.

I don't think so.

I think you are overestimating the ability of the terrorists. I really don't see how they can do that.

Though, I can understand your point. The security costs of keeping him would be huge.

you know, this is jist a bigger incentive for the u.s to state in the war rathr than leave.
I'm super elated , but I know that the war will continue, and that Obama and his administration are poping those champaign bottles , smoking those Cuban, and singing "we are the champions" because this is what's going to certainly be the number one 2012 election winner for Obama second term
