No. Virsus do not do that if you have pulled your internet cable out, and have locked down the computer with no chance of external access.

Well on http://bash.org I read a really funny transcript, with something to the effect of typing "deltree" or somethign like that in dos. You know to delete c drive. Well somebody actually did it, on irc, and at the end, it said "Connection termainated by program, reason file not detected"

Funny as hell.

Full virsus scan NOW!

For free one, choose AVG free version.

Download Zonealarm for after virsus dete4ctor dealt with virsus, to prevent this happening again. And also of note. Dont go on porn sites.

hehe. we used to do that all the time. Even got one to simply kill their own registry once. Getting a person to unplug the modem was brilliant though. "oh no, you've got a virus" "arrrrrgh what do I do???" "Well... see all those cords at the back of your computer, pull the modem out and the virus will stop" (user Quit: Connection reset by peer)
ah memories lol

Another thing to do is learn how to use only a few ports. Firewalls are good until something new is created, and then you need to upgrade your firewall.
