Serious n00bish behaviour going on behind the brains of people who deleted the stuff.
*chuckles* indeed. Oh and Tinykates, it was a subtle joke that only 2776 got. Sorry about that.

Another thing to do is learn how to use only a few ports. Firewalls are good until something new is created, and then you need to upgrade your firewall.
Yes, but I'm using internet through a router. Pretty secure as well. (I hope)

I got a hacker friend to try and penetrate me. He failed.

(That sounded bad didn't it?)

Try terminating any processes related to it using task manager, then use the advised downloads to get rid of it. Also, get off of any popular sites and don't send e-mails till you get rid of it. (most people here should have firewalls, but better safe than sorry)

Just got rid of another worm. The damn things don't stop.

It did sound bad. Made me smile though hehe. Just how much hacking did he do to penetrate you I wonder hehe. Routers are good. Wingates are over rated, but I find the humble proxy comes in rather handy.

Well, he scanned all my ports, posed as other software to get in, etc.
In the end all he got was a non responsive victim.

Really? why didn't he just exploit the 'handshake' and perhaps lag you a little to open your system up a little bit? Just what kind of router have you got by the way?

Hmm, well it was at about 2am, so he might have been a bit careless. He is a professional hacker. He got into the school's VPN and got onto the schools machines, to play Counterstrike on the schools computers. Pity he got caught as he was logged as he mistyped his password.

Ouch, not a good way to be caught. Mistyping a pasword is about the dumbest thing you can be caught out on. No disrespect intended (last time I pissed with hackers I had to reinstall windows)
