Thanks I applied for Biology. My friend's also going (she's applied for Biology & Chemistry), though other people in my school who applied for Maths and Politics didn't get in - perhaps those were more competitive this year.

Hi, I've just joined the Student Forum and am also going to Eton summer school to do French I think it was probably a lot less competitive than maths or science from what people have been saying here.

Look forward to meeting some of you there!

I keep getting confused between this thread and the other one :p: But yeah, I'll be going this summer to do Biology, with a friend who will be doing Biology & Chemistry.

:ditto: I guess it's inevitable that some people will be, and some people will be those scary people who knows absolutely everything... but I'm sure most people will be normal! :p:

You need a swim suit because you can go swimming in the (supposedly) awesome outdoor swimming pool. It was hot last July. I'm pretty sure there's an indoor swimming pool as well.

I've gotten onto it to do Latin, but as of yet noone else in my school has, i think latin was probably easier to get into as it is possibly not as popular...i wonder why that is?
Plus the rejected people had more stars than me...which makes me think that the timing of the letters, i sent mine early, is quite important too

My application form last year went off at literally the last possible moment, so I'm not sure that has much to do with it!

Then again, maybe they liked my edgy disregard for deadlines...

    Mine too.

But, for the record, the Thackerays seemed like people who valued promptness.

To be honest, I was quite excited about swimming but once I got there, it just didn't feature. For one thing, I was practising for my grade 7 the whole time, and once I factored in doing work, Speeches practice and awesome opportunities like playing the Wall Game (sooo much fun), swimming was the last thing on my mind!

A friend of mine did Ancient History last year, and really liked it, so I bet you'll have fun too.
