Hello,
Just wondering if anyone could show me how they would go about calculating the carbon footprint from the question below?!

Calculate carbon emissions assuming,

1)A household consumes say 2000 kWh electricity (C02 emmision factor of electricity is 0.5 C02/kWh electricity)

2) Consumes 15000 kWh of natural gas (100% CH4, Heating Value of 30 Mj/kg)

3) Consumes 1000 litres of petrol (Density 0.8 kg/litre)

1) Isn't that just 0.5 * 2000 or am I missing something?

2) Turn kWh into mass, then use the equation for the combustion of methane to calculate how much CO2 is released.

3) Similar to 2, calulate mass of petrol, which is octane I think? Then calculate the mass of CO2 released using the combustion equation.
