Parents providing information for student loan application query

My parents have to provide financial information to support my application for a student loan and I've got to the bit where I need to provide their customer reference numbers. This is the first time that I have applied for a loan but my sister applied for one last year so my parents already have customer reference numbers. However, I am a bit unclear about whether they should use these numbers for me as well as her as the wording in the instructions says to use them if your parents have applied with 'you' before. I see no reason as to why they should have to create new accounts just for my application but the wording makes me think that they might? Does anybody know if they do have to or is this just bad wording in the instrictions?
