Warm salty water dabbed on with cotton wool usually does the trick for me!

well, my mum always used a very hot flannel held against the sty, which brings the pus (ew) to the surface. the more you do this the better. do not pick at it!!

i know this sounds weird but rubbing something gold against it does the trick. my friend always gets them and she just borrows my gold ring, rubs it a few times and it goes. i think its some kind of chemical thingy ... but it definitely works. its one if thise effective old wives things

jus dab a hot flannel on it. or use eye drops such as brolene. go to the chemist and they will suggest something.

I get them quite a bit when i'm rundown - i just put on some brolene cream and they heal up quickly.
Brolene or golden eye.
Drops are better for during the day and ointment is betterif you want to put something on it overnight (thats cos the ointment can blur your vision)
This is really odd but dipping cotton wool in milk gets rid of them. Always works with me. Something about the bacteria in the milk.
keep it clean and try to avoid too much eye makeup

That's what my mum always suggests too. I don't know if it works, I've only had one and that was only small, it may have just healed anyway, but it can't hurt to try.

ive had quite a few of these, usually i just ignore them if its only the odd 1 or 2. If its a big one or quite a few then i fill a cup with warm water right up to the top then bathe my eye in it for bout 10 seconds, twice a day and the stys are gone within 2 days.

*Edit* And dont worry about it getting 'huge', they generally stay very very small and dont grow over time.
