A friend of mine asked me to find out what happens if she has accepted an Cambridge offer (undergrad), but then decides that she wants to go somewhere else (in the Netherlands, so it's not an issue that she can't accept another UCAS offer). Please don't ask me WHY she thinks about doing this, I have absolutely no clue...

Can you just tell me what the consequences would be / if that's possible. Does she have to pay fees?

Thanks for your help.

You can withdraw any time before 31st August and not have to pay any fees; it's no different for Cambridge than for any other university. It's worth contacting Cambridge as well as just doing it on UCAS, though, just in case.

So it's possible to withdraw on UCAS?

I was pretty sure the admissions people hunt you down, drag you there and lock you in the room you had booked and escort you to classes to make sure you attend.

I jest.

Yes, you can withdraw, it's courteous to contact the university as well rather than just doing it on ucas.
