Bristol or Durham
I have two offers one from Bristol for MCs. Economics + Finance and one from Durham for MCs. Finance + Investment. Initially, I was all set on heading to Durham because I really like the idea of the college system. But, now that I have unconditional from both, I am very confused about where to go.

Any opinions are welcome in relation to the course content, the university itself, post-university job prospects etc. (specially from Bristol, because I had heard less from it).

I really can't decide between the two, I think I prefer the general feel of Durham.

So any advice on which is the better option would be much appreciated.

Also, I am from Costa Rica, I am not used to the cold weather, I know that Durham is in the North, but how is winter there?

I don't know anything about your course but I had offers from Bristol and Durham and chose Durham, I liked the college system and the university as a whole better.

Because you aren't used to the cold, winter is going to be a shock for you anywhere in the UK, Durham will be colder as its up North but you'll be freezing at either!

jejejeje thanks for your honesty. I know that I will be in pain due to the winter. I will survive.

I like Durham's system, but Global Rankings puts Bristol first almost always. What do students in the UK think about this situation?

In terms of UK rep, there isn't a cigarette paper between the two and you'll be fine at other. Bristol has a greater international presence due to its status as an important research centre, especially in the sciences, though Durham wouldn't be far behind. This is reflected in the fact that Bristol is commonly in lists of the top 50 or so universities worldwide.
