Hi TSR,

I just need to ask this as it's driving me crazy seeing all the different posts on what career prospects are like for comp sci students. My parents keep going on about how it's all being outsourced etc and that comp sci has really bad employment rates yet I read some websites saying that in the UK and US there are going to be big increases in terms of jobs for comp sci/software engineering in the next 4-5 years...

Can someone clarify what the truth actually is?!?!

Thanks

League tables bunch often CS and IT together. The reality is, get a good CS degree from a good Uni, and you'll be fine. Get a mediocre degree from a mediocre Uni, and you may be a bit more stuck.
