Does anyone know how many years it take to do a Doctorate in Psychology ? Is it true that you can only be a clinical psychologist if you finish a doctorate ?

Thanks

Depends on the doctorate. Clinical Psy doctorates are three years funded by the NHS and finishing the doctorate means you qualify as a clinical psychologist.

My health psychology doctorate will last two years full time and completing it means I'll be a Health Psychologist. The Counselling Psy and Forensic Psy doctorates are both three years long full time and six years part time.
