Hello,

I know this has been discussed a couple of times however I still need a little bit of help on taking the right choice.
I am an European student from Romania and got offers for computers science at Sheffield, York and Southampton.
The 2 unis that I am interested most about are York and Southampton.
I have been for an interview at York and I really enjoyed spending the day at the university. The department of computer science has great facilities
and the atmosphere there was very positive. I also like the city.
However I don't know much about Southampton apart from the fact that it is highly regarded on computer science which is probably the reason why I prefer it over others.
Which one do you think has a better reputation on Computer Sci (especially internationally) and greater career prospects?
Also which one is cheaper for students?
I would really appreciate if there are any students at Southampton that can tell me how the city is and how does it compare to York academically?

Thanks!

Southampton and York are both top Unis for CS. Southampton may just have the edge over York, but imo, there's not much in it academically.

Hey,
I'm from Romania too and currently I'm debating which CS course to choose, Bath's or York's. So there's a theoretical 25% chance we'll meet at York. ^_^
Good luck!
