losing weight

I’ve started going to gym three times a week, doing mostly cardio training and weights. My goal is to lose a sensible amount of 1-2lbs a week, slowly and over a long time (say 4 months) I want to lose a stone. My question is, what foods should I eat and what foods should I avoid to give me a better chance to achieving my gaol. I know low fats foods and generally healthy things, but I mean what kind of foods will my body and support it. I weight 9 stone at the momemt, and am 5'6 and a half (lol, the half is important :p: )

try and find stuff u like then it will be easier to stik to, (that are healthy). i eat malt loaf as a snack, dno if ud like it but its very low in fat!

Exactly !!!

You have a BMI of 20.03 - I wouldn't go any lower if I were you!! Why do you want to lose weight?

I'm probably going to attract some serious criticism here, but this seems endemic among many young girls (the whole illusion thing about being "fat", etc)...

(call me a hypocrite if you want :rolleyes: , my BMI is about 17.1, not that I like it)

Yeah...anyways, back on topic - imasillynarb's question can help us figure out the calorie intake and therefore if hayley is gaining or losing weight (perhaps we should let her answer before posting any further :p: ).
