Well, Nokia doesn't have the best creativity out of them. In the last year or so, they have released 10 phones which all do exactly the same thing and look the same. The only difference between them phones is that they change one digit in the model number.
Anyways, I have a Sony Ericsson Z600. Sony Ericsson make high quality phones (like Samsung) and they stuff their phones with many features and a much easier menu to use than the Nokias.

Nokias menu systems are great and simple to surf through etc, however the look of Samsung phones is quite cool (futuristic and elegant). I own a Samsung E700 and am currently having problems getting used to the menu system after using Nokias for the last 5 years.

Have you seen any of the new Nokias this year? They are quite different to say the least.

i find that nokias are very simple to use, really tough as nails but dont seem to be so creatively different or technologically ahead of the game. for example, i have a 6100 (EXACTLY the same software as the 7210 and 6610 - just different shells) and its nice, but 1) its only 4000 colours 2) no bluetooth
sony ericssons seem alright but the z600 is bloody huge! so fat! but so good!

I really cant stand Nokias. They're too.... unspectacular/common, at risk of sounding snobbish.
Sony/Ericcson are good, as are Siemens. The new Sagems are very nice too.

Personally, Nokia is the only company that has perfected phone design and usability (there are a few hideous exceptions, such as the 7210). Even the sexy T630 is nowhere near as nice to use as a nokia. I just wish they would have more feature-packed small phones. An 8310 with colour screen, MMS, bluetooth , maybe even WCDMA would be wicked.
