Travis is very medicore, coldplay have produced some good stuff. Radiohead I find very hit-or-miss, like bjork, some of their stuf is excellent but you have to wade through a rather large ammount of samey whining to get to it.

Do you own their first album (the name escapes me. Goodfeeling?) or The Man Who?
Both are great albums.
Download "Good day to die" if you dont have it.
Fanstastic song. One of their more 'lively' songs.

Radiohead make albums like no other band has and no other band will for a long time.
They gel like nothing else (Hail to the thief excepted).
I wont argue about them with you too much though. They are an acquired taste. :p:

Coldplay went to UCL therefre they are the best band in the universe ( )

What bands do you like.

(Cazzi did you live in your house when they performed there? )

I have the man who and 12 memories. 12 memories is poor and the man who is better, but I just still cant find anything outstanding about it. I dont even especially like Good day to die.

Don't get me wrong I love some radiohead songs: pyramid song, kama police, no surprises. But I don't know it just seems like they have been watered down.

I loved coldplay when they first came out but have gone off them since.

My two favorites that really stand out (not including classical - beethoven would be #1) are:

Godspeed you black emperor!
Sigur ros

others that have stayed favorites:

Air
Pink Floyd
The magnetic fields
Jeff Buckley

someothers im sure - obviosuly I have current favorites that change as I find new stuff.

Radiohead are ok. Glad to see that someone else who is cool secretly likes Mariah Carey.

Is This It as an album, is perfect. Their new one isn't bad either.

And Mike, I liked Green Day...1039 Smoothed Out Slappy Hours, Dookie, and Insomniac are all good albums. Any later than that and there are a few good songs. Anything recent is turd.

Seeing as we're listing musical tastes, at the moment I am really loving We Are Scientists, Louis XIV and Arctic Monkeys. Like a lot of eighties and new wave stuff. The Beatles (of course), The Kinks, The Rolling Stones. Old Soul and Motown! Cyndi Lauper, Joy Division, some New Order, Echo and the Bunnymen. Some punk like the Ramones and the Sex Pistols. MC5, The Velvet Underground. Britpop, Blur, Pulp, Lemonhead. The Libertines, Razorlight (although have gone off them a bit since seeing them live) The Yeah Yeah Yeah's (great live band), The Killers. Don't really like The Bravery but they were good live.Bruce Springsteen, The Cars, Dexy's Midnight Runners (Come on Eileen!!) Some Michael Jackson, Lots of old sixties hits, Elvis Costello, Van Morrison, T-Rex. Loads more...

As for Coldplay, I like Paracutes because Yellow reminds me of someone, but other than that I can't help thinking that they are in the same bracket as Feeder and Keane, in other words, according to my friend "you might as well sign a contract to be boring for life". I agree with him.

N.B. Also hate them because my friend's irritating ex-girlfriend is in one of their videos.

Edit: French pop music is appalling. I got dragged along to a Marc Lavoine concert and it was literaklly the funniest thing that I have ever seen. Also when I mentioned said artist to hot indie boys, I got laughed at. Nice.
