Reducing bloating

On Saturday I have to have a flat stomach for this dress I'm going to wear to a party. I have a bit of a tummy right now because I've come home and am eating lots of (free!) food.

So I'm not going to eat until the party - so that I look good in the photos!! I need tips for not feeling hungry, because I am a total pig and can't resist food at all!

I also get quite bloated as well, not just from eating lots, I don't know why. Is there any way to reduce bloating? It could be water retention but I'm not sure.

Thanks

not eating at all is bad... if you want to avoid bloating dont eat very fibrous foods, or salty foods or anything like pasta bread etc that just expands. eat lots of raw veg and fish and stuff, and like i said avoid salt as it adds to water retention

Rennie deflatine? I've never tried it but I've been tempted!
Drink water too cos that will keep your salt levels in check. Perhaps have several small meals rather than big ones. Bloating can be related to your period as well.

I'm sure you can get some sort of herbal supplements or something in the natural therapy section of boots (I worked there, but can't remember what it's called  ) so you could give that a try this week if needs be. No idea if it works or not though!

cranberry tablets might help

not eating is not a good idea at all. particularly if your going to be drinking at Z party . that could be nasty.
Cut out carbs (bad long term but just for a few days it shouldnt matter) fresh fruit and veg (pref not cooked as lots of things like broccolli and spinach cause bloating) small amounts of lean protein like turkey and chicken are also good. tuna can be good if ur really hungry as small amounts will fill u up. lots of water. no carbonated drinks!! fruit smoothies will help with hunger aswell. and herbal tea is particularly good for reducing bloating!
have fun
when you feel bloated eat an apple.
Aquaban? I don't know if it actually works though.
eat in small quantities, and eat stuff like crackers and riveta... salad.. stuff that definately won't make you feel bloated.

Every time you feel hungry just drink a glass of water.

Go for water and fresh fruit and veg. It'll fill you up and won't leave you bloated.
Is the dress too tight to get away with a little tummy?

Water = your friend.

Here at uni for the past 3 months ive lived off just 1 meal every 24 hours (occasionally missing it and so no food for 48 hours). Drink lots of water and keep busy so your mind dosent wander onto how hungry you are.

Resist temptation, dont go out to food places!

if ur an asshole ur an assole!! how on earth in ur tiny little mind could u think that thats what she needs to hear?
herbal teas are good as has been suggested. whenever i'm hungry, but don't want to pig out, i chew chewing gum to take my mind off of it.

cut out carbs for a few days before the party. and also fizzy drinks - and to a lesser extent chewing gum - add to the bloated effect so cut them out too. drink lots of water too. x
and try to some stomach toning exercises, though that is more for the long term!
