I intend to study medicine at uni, and i in tend to study further maths at AS. Is it worth it??

no - you don't need it to study medicene. Only do it if you really love maths. Otherwise, you're better off doing something you'd enjoy more

i enjoy maths. But does further maths give you an edge over people who don't do it when you start applying for uni?

Reply 3

No, not really. The unis would base their offers on people who do other things as well as the 3A's.

what type of other things? i do plenty of extra curricular activities, if that is what you mean.

Reply 5

I don't know but I doubt it - I know someone who is doing Maths, chemistry, biology and textiles who has received 3 offers - quite unusual for medicene. as far as I can see the most important thing is to get a lot of work experience and have a real enthusiasm for the subject.

Well go on, tell me what you are doing extra curricularly, and anything that might help you get to uni. I'll see if you are above average.

Work experience is always good! Even if it's something as simple as unpaid work on the weekends at your local GP's or even A+E - because it shows an interest in the industry.

Don't despair. I believe that your things are pretty good as well. Problem is that My Duke of E. is not completed, and I don't believe it will ever be so. and neither will my BETEC diploma.
