Too late in what way? Never too late to drop out whenever you want to.

Too late to do what exactly? Learn to ask a question properly? Probably...

I think you might as well carry on til the end of the year at least, then you'll get a diploma if you pass.

Yeah you get a certificate of higher education if you complete the first year, a diploma if you finish the second year, and a whole degree if you do all three

That is the best thing I've heard since the start of term. Will speak to my tutor about it.

Yeah, this semester has put me off the course completely, it's not quite what I expected to say the least.

is the the diploma comparable to a btec national diploma?...also would it help me get onto another course if my a-levels were say a grade out, if i decided to go back to uni in a few years?

You'll want to check very carefully if your uni does the whole "Diploma after 2 years" thing. Someone said Warwick doesn't do it, Cambridge doesn't do it, and Swansea doesn't do it, so assuming it's true for any uni is clearly not a wise plan.
