Hey,

I should not have read this topic. At least I have had my hopes... I have applied for IR and European Studies and so far I have only heard back from Royal Holloway. (though I sent my application on the 15th of January )...

Anyway, here's what I have:

UCL - European Social and Political Studies
King's College - European Studies
LSE - IR
Manchester - European Studies and a Modern Language (Spanish)
Sussex - International Relations and European Studies

Royal Holloway - European Studies (Spanish), conditional 32 IB IELTS 6.5, 6 in writing (why, why did they ask for this??? it costs a lot of money!!!)

Hey nyuszi
Another applicant for European Studies. If you don't want to take the IELTS make sure that you get an offer from King's College. They'll be satisfied with your performance at a possible interview.
Good luck

Decided on IR with French at Sussex (ABB) as my firm, with their joint programme of the same subjects (BBB) as my insurance.

Congrats JJarvis on offers from the LSE and Edinburgh. What IB grades did you have??

Mine:
LSE international relations - rejected
Cambridge Politics - rejected
Edinburgh - International Relations - Unconditional
Birmingham Uni - International Relations - Unconditional
As. Andrews - International Relations - rejected (damn, really wanted to go there, since my best friend goes there)
Royal Holloway - International Relations and Politics - unconditional

I was thinking about accepting the offer at Birmingham Uni. If you look at the guardian league tables for poltics and international relations, Birmingham Uni ranks 6th in the Cuntry where Edinburgh ranks likte 12th or something. Itrs only oxford Soas, York Warwick, the LSE and one more that ranks higher. And I want to go a campus based uni so birmingham lookes fine. Or what are your thoughts? Is birmingham a good school do you think and opens the possibility to do MAs at high ranking institutions like oxford, cambridge, st andrews LSE and so forth? Or does it rank too low for these school to consider it?

Thank you for any thoughts and comments.
