Confused!

Right I ll try and keep this one short...
Me and my gf split up about 5weeks ago, the relationship itself was a bit bad as she rarely had time for me etc. and there was a possibility of cheating. I ve struggled to get over her and we ve bin in contact a bit by sending a few e mails to each other. i ve made it aware that i want to get back together with her and she knew this, but she said it didnt work and that i shouldnt have to do anything to make it work (which i was willing to do). Anyway i emailed her to make her aware that i wud b happy to do anything to make it work, and she text me saying that she wanted to meet up with me before christmas. When i asked why a couple of days later, and told her that she had confused me, she said she didnt wanted to get back with me and she wanted to meet more as friends but my email made her realise that she still likes me and cares about me...

Anyhow... when we split up i made it clear to her that i ll find it hard to be friends with her, and all along she knew that i would like to get back with her, so i dunno why she wanted to meet just as friends when she knew i ll try and get back with her, even though she doesnt...
