So here it is, the reason for my signature. I'm trying out a "Quote of 2004" contest where each month you vote for the best quote of the month from what you hear in your everyday life including this forum (this month I haven't thought of asking for suggestions but PM me if you think you have a worthy quote). On the 1st of the next month the vote comes up, and I will stop counting the vote at 11:59pm that day. The winner goes on to "Quote of the Year" to be held sometime in January 2005.

So here are this month's contestants:

(1) "You can't please everyone, so why not just please yourself!"
From a friend of mine, pretty self-explanatory and enough truth to see it as a contender.

(2) "Hard work never hurt anyone... but why take chances?"
On a birthday card I saw, quite hilarious and I could totally relate, so here it is.

(3) "We are all mutants..."
Thanks to Lady Xenon for this awkward yet true analysis of human beings. I never thought of us as mutants before so its absurdity won me over.

(4) "That Harold Shipman's a real ladykiller, he's well hung apparently!"
A mate of mine with a brilliant joke about the late Dr Shipman.

(5) "Nando's in Cambridge, so what? There's two in Manchester!"
This is how you get over rejection by Cambridge University, by picking on the negatives, i.e. the relative lack of Nando's outlets.

(6) "The only person to ever celebrate Valentine's Day correctly was Al Capone."
Cheers Mr White, he refers to the Valentine's Day Massacre and this quote is sure to please the haters.

(7) "Eric - you're 13, go away!"
Couldn't leave out lou p lou with a quote like this, makes it in the poll as the wildcard entry.

Seeing as they are all from the forum, why not pm me with your funny forum quotes with your name, the winner gets rep from me in a poll. Sometime next week.
