heya - i know i have been going on quite a bit bout jobs. Thing is, with the amount of money my dad's gonna pay for me to go to uni (im an int'l student) im just really concerned bout getting a job afterwards coz it seems pretty pointless to me to kind of sit about u/ed or with a substandard job when i could probably just invest the money my dad would've paid for me to study
anyways - i was wondering wat ppl who do PPE degrees end up doing after graduation? like in terms of jobs
and dyu think it's necessary to do like a masters before i qualify for a good job?

Um, my local MP did PPE. Although I'm sure there are lots of things you can do with a degree like that.
how about a goldman sachs investment banker or trader. Civil servant of the highest order? you take your pick, with a PPE from Oxford the world is truely your oyster, although i don't really know why. But can you handle 2 to 3 essays per week?

PPE-ists don't normally get 2-3 essays a week. I get more than the PPE-ists in my college.

I met an Oxford PPE student who was approached by the Royal Navy asking him if he wanted to be in charge of a ship by the age of twenty-five.

2-3 essays p/wk will be pretty bad but hopefully i can handle it - im doing sociology, english literature and economics at A level so im pretty used to churning out essays (esp the nite b4 they're due!!) although im pretty sure the essays they'll expect at oxford will be of a much higher standard!!
oh well - guess all i can do then, is hope that my college is one where we get fewer essays.. and well jst hope for the best!!
Blimey, for PPE it's 2 here and 3 at some colleges.
As for the initial question, it depends on what university you're at. PPE itself is prestigious and has a good employability rate (the best out of all arts subjects here), but the institution is equally important - <mickey mouse course> at top uni usually makes you more employable than <good course> at a bottom-end one.
