I think thats an ideal present for a 16-year-old. It's better than just buying them a few items of make-up. Better in a set, kind of, for beginners

It depends, if you're not a make up person like me, I wouldn't like one. But if whoever you're giving it to likes make up, then I'd say it's an ideal present

Good idea The brushes will come in handy as well, as most 16yr olds can't afford lots of equipment like that

It depends what the colours and quality are like. If the shades and the quality is good then yep, if not then nope =)

Yeah some of those sets can be a bit dodgy quality wise...but it might be ok. Its difficult to tell from a picture.

Personally I'd prefer a couple of good quality products that I know I'd like. For £20 you could get her a juicy tube lip gloss, pamplemousse is a gorgeous colour if she doesnt wear much make-up and a nice eyeshadow pallette with a few neutral colours

Juicy tube
Read Earth Eyeshadow Trio

I've just found this too which is quite pretty, has both lipglosses and eyeshadow

Too faced pallette

I wouldn't get it - you're not sure if the blusher etc will suit the person's skin.

If she doesn't wear make-up, there's a deifinitechance that she wouldn't instantly start. I know I didn't when I was bought make-up. But different people behave differently, so...
