Feeling depressed - sympathy please!

I'm feeling pretty down at the moment, for a few reasons:
1. My best mate has just announced she is going travelling, and then when she gets back to England she is going to live in Sussex with her Mum, so I won't see her any more. I don't make friends easily, I'm not a very sociable person so this sucks on many levels. :frown:

2. My husband is working a 12 hour shift on Christmas Day, so I'm going to be all alone (well, apart from the animals). Boo hoo hoo! :frown:

3. And I had a really bad week at work this week.

So basically, I've spent this weekend feeling really bad and sorry for myself, sitting in front of my PC eating chocolate. And now:
4. I feel sick. :frown: :frown:

Someone, make me feel better!

Keep smiling, you don't know what might happen next week!

Actually, someone did die. One of the patients at work (alright it was a dog, but so what?) died on the operating table and I've spent the last couple of days obsessing over it and blaming myself. :frown:

4. Go do sometime productive! isnt there anything you like doing that cheers you up?

Hehe...I've got an extremely skimpy and see through piece of lingerie that I'm planning to be wearing when hubby gets home on Christmas Day, and I'm going to make him heart-shaped fried eggs for his tea! :blushing:

I suppose there's compensation in the fact that as your man is working on Christmas Day it means someone with children can spend Christmas morning with them. I think that's a nice way of looking at it.

Hmmm...I guess. But just 'cos I don't have kids doesn't make me any less entitled to spend Christmas Day with my family. Still, it doesn't matter - I'll probably walk across the village and go visit my mum and sister. Then get squiffy and eat lots and watch Christmas television.

lol! sorry but that one made me laugh! it's kinda self-inflicted

but yeah, the rest sounds pretty harsh, hope you have a better week next week :hugs:

and look on the bright side, at least if you have to spend xmas day on your own, you dont have to bother with cooking a xmas dinner....at least until boxing day as someone else has suggested
