area is always equal to frequency(more precisely its proportional but if k=1 then its equal)

How do i find the frequency if k is not 1? The frequency density=area/class width so
is the frequency the same as the frequency density?

if k is not equal to one you'll be given dimensions of one box or even area or if lucky the histogram.

all you do is Area = k * frequency
rearrange and find k, k is a constant so it wont change

area(k x frequency) = class width * frequency density

Is that what they mean when they say find the value of a unit?

So class width is not k?

So class width is not k?

nope, k is just a constant of proportionality

you'll have to show me a question

Well i was meant to show that 1 pig = 0.125cm^2 on the graph. I must be mixing up questions as i cant find where it says unit value. K is a constant or proportionality and i am told k always, or do i have to find it occasionally?
