Gym is a bit of a let down, but they do plan on doing something with it (i was told by 07) and the current one is ludicrously cheap. You are entitled to use UOL's gym nr UCL for a small fee :smile:

by the looks of it they are building a good new gym in time for sep 2006. the current one is adequete, but i believe they are going to make this new one quite a deal clincher.

Yeap people, it's true. There will be a brand new spanking gym and changing rooms. As far as I know all the Student Union offices are going to be moved from it's current place to the new student village building. Once the SU offices have moved...alledgely E1 and the offices are going to get ripped out and a state of the art of the gym is going in.

I hope they consider a swimming pool too..but I can imagine that would take more time to build...but awesome.

I doubt the Union would be able to get money from the College/University/ULU for a pool as the local authority is opening a shiny new custom-built swimming and fitness complex at the southern end of Mile End Park. The pool should be finished early 2006.

A number of QMSU's sports clubs use the Astroturf pitches in the park. I hope this relationship with Tower Hamlets will extend to use of the pool.

Ah ok, well hopefully there will be a joining of forces with Queen Mary Sports Club and Mile End Swimming pool.
