How can I hide cuts?

I got in a crying rage and cut myself a couple of hours ago and now, as always, I'm really regretting it as I have to go out and I will be so hot if I can't take my jacket off and I haven't got any long tops.

Is there anyway to cover them up (foundation doesn't work) or just make them less visible if I do take my coat off? Or do I have to just sweat?

Thanks very much xxxxxx

Thin long sleeved top?
Maybe some bracelets or a sweatband? Not sure exactly where you've cut though so it may not cover them up. Take care of yourself xx
as marmitebagel said. Or, put a tubi-grip bandage over them and say that you strained some muscles. Sounds daft, but it's worked for me on many different occasions
Im not trying to be horrible, but from experience if you continue to do this it will be an every day dilema. Seriously not worth worrying over which is a reason not to do it again. And also if it gets to the stage of scarring then you will have to (if you are that way inclined) hide them aswell, which is an even more difficult task. Just something for you to think about anyway.
Why are you cutting yourself!? Your having a mare! Stop it!!
Isn't there anyone you can talk to about the reasons you are doing this to yourself?

This suggests its not the first time you've done it....I think if you have done it before then perhaps you should tell someone how your feeling.
how the hell can you people possibly open up to aother person about someting like that - christ that's what ive been doing wrong all this time - i just kinda let that sort of shi* build up inside me and then it all comes out about once every 2 years in a very violent manner

Well change it now and don't let it build up! Even if you can't tell someone perhaps write it down...it sometimes hepls get in perspective.

if you cut yourself a couple hours ago i wouldnt suggest putting any sort of foundation/makeup on it anyway..it'll only infect it.
depending where they are...sweatbands are always good.

hows about stop cutting yourself then you wont have these kinds of problems!
Face the humiliation so youll be less inclined to do it in the future.
How are those sorts of comments constructive (last 2)? Its not as easy to stop cutting as that....and I don't think humiliation will help either!
I love this new trend of people cutting themselves which makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Anyways, To hide it stay at home for awhile till they heal, or just use bandaids and say you fell (I doubt someone will ask about it though)

I honestly don't understand the whole thing about cutting yourself. I personally physically couldn't do it, and I don't understand how it can make you feel better...

This thread isn't about the hows and the whys of self harm, there are threads on the board about that if you care to look though. And it isn't something that is easy to understand unless you've been there, inflicting pain on oneself isn't something most people go do easily and without thought, and maybe some sensitivity is needed. There's nothing wrong with saying you don't understand why someone does it, but some tact would be nice.

I think a tubigrip would work best, thats what i used to use. But as people have suggested, look at the underlying issues as to why you do it and maybe it will have a longer lasting effect.

Follow the cliche.. It's just a media hyped thing which people have been hypnotised into doing.
